;
I was at my desk, on the 38th floor of 1 WTC, when the plane hit. One of the lucky ones who made it out safely.
My heart goes out to all those who lost a loved one that day.
I will never forget
-the faces of the firefighters who I shared the staircase with. I was heading to safety, they were heading up.
-the sound of my dad’s voice when I finally got a hold of him to tell him that I was ok.
-meeting up with my best friend a few blocks away, hugging, crying and starting our 4hr walk to Queens.
-the sound of the buildings collapsing
-the way New Yorkers pulled together, how amazing everyone was, helpful, like one big family
-going back to work (Lehman Brothers) one day later, in temporary offices (in NJ) and being so happy to see everyone
-and so much more….
